Grzegorz sells furniture directly from the former site of the Germans' infamous IG Farben – Buna factories at Auschwitz, where concentration camp prisoners taken from the adjoining Auschwitz III camp were worked to death up until 1945. His family have been living in Auschwitz for the last 200 years. Standing before the remains of the factory he explained: Most people can’t understand how we can live here but as you see the Museum (referring to the Auschwitz I camp) is really quite far away.
